CAUHF members accounts
This past week all members of the CAUHF Group, who have already renewed their memberships for the year 2010, were issued accounts to login to member services at http://members.cauhf.org.
With these new accounts members have several benefits, including an email address with over 7 megabytes of storage. If they prefer, members can optionally forward mail to an email address of their choosing, just like with the ARRL email forwarding service.
Through this portal members also have access to the Documents section which is being used to manage and consolidate many of our club related documents. It is in the Documents section that members will soon find the full list of linking codes for the AR Links System.
If you haven't renewed your membership for the 2010 year and you wish to do so online, you can visit http://www.cauhf.org/join/renew/.
If you have never been a member of the CAUHF Group and you are interested in joining, please visit http://www.cauhf.org/join/ for information.

Arkansas Traveling Ham Award
In December of last year the CAUHF Group's board voted to create an award program that would promote the use of the AR Links System repeater network and Amateur Radio in general.
This dream has become reality and we are proud to announce the Arkansas Traveling Ham Award. You can read all about the program and the rules at http://www.cauhf.org/atha/.
I've already started on it and I'll be periodically posting updates on how I'm doing. So far I've already made contacts in 11 of Arkansas' 75 counties. If this sounds interesting to you too, keep in mind that starting this year members of the CAUHF will soon have access to the AR Links System linking codes, which will make working an award like this even more fun!
If you're not a member or you haven't renewed your membership this year, now is a great time to do so! There's a lot going on in the Central Arkansas UHF Group.

CAUHF web site on the go...
Did you know that statistics show that by the year 2012 the Internet will have more mobile browsers in use at any given moment than traditional, desktop browsers? Well, I don't know how true that is but I saw it on an ad on TV... so it must be true, right?
Well, whether it's right or wrong it still got me thinking. Since the CAUHF's web site is purely designed using Cascading Style Sheets (or CSS), I should be able to make the whole site mobile-ready in a matter of minutes. As it turns out, I was right.
The CAUHF web site is now easier than ever to browse using your favorite mobile device. It has been tested using an iPhone and a Blackberry. Enjoy!
If you are interested in learning more about CSS visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascading_Style_Sheets.
